The Daily Business Management Status Report is divided into two main columns. On the right are a series of modules designed to track the raw numbers of your most critical operating characteristics, including website traffic, cash on hand, # of mailing list signups, incoming revenue, etc. This information is arranged so you can quickly visualize anything that may not look right, or declining.

In the lefthand column, you have two main modules. The first is meant to identify the 2-3 biggest priorities I have just identified from the data shown on the right. This might be along the lines of 'getting more traffic into website 'whatever.com'. The point is that these are the 2-3 most pressing 'problems' that I should solve today.

The next module down in the lefthand column is my more specific task list of things I need to complete today, including any tasks that may be needed to achieve a solution to my 2-3 primary issues I just identified.

I also have ample room to make notes on this page.

Like I said, I think this spreadsheet is great. I've worked with it and improved it over the years. As much as I like it, and use it, I also recognize that its not this spreadsheet itself that's so important, but rather its the business management process that it walks me through each and everry morning at about 6:30 or 7:30 am. Using the 'Daily Business Management Status Report' enforces the discipline of checking all of the critical factors of my business that can cause me to lose money if I let them slip out of whack. I will bluntly tell yoiu that I wouldn't be as successful as I am, without using this tool every day. I know that you will feel the same way.
